| Description: |
The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is a charming rural community at the southeast corner of the County of Peterborough, centrally located between Belleville and Peterborough and 90 minutes east of Toronto. We provide services to our permanent and seasonal residents. Tourism accounts for a large part of our economy due to the amount of lakes and rivers located in the Township. Tourism traffic passing through the region on the Trans-Canada Highway provides significant incremental support for the retail sector in the Village of Havelock, particularly in the summer. It brings a continual flow of travellers year-round who make service or business stops in the area. It also provides access to or is destined for specific tourism attractions and facilities, such as our beautiful lakes, parks and recreational opportunities. The Canadian Pacific Rail yard and mining industry are an important part of our history, and both industries continue to contribute to our economy. Our permanent population is 5,083 and we have a seasonal population of 6,200. The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen invites qualified proponents to submit proposals for the supply of new LED Ball Diamond Lighting at the HBM ball diamond facility located at 39 George Street East, Havelock, Ontario. The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to obtain a lighting solution that provides high quality illumination, energy efficiency, reliability, and long-term value while meeting the applicable industry standards and the Municipality’s operational requirements. |
