The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen (HBM) is centrally located between Toronto and Ottawa on Highway 7. We are a rural community that is a great place to live and do business. We have an abundance of lakes and rivers that provide recreational opportunities in all four seasons. Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is part of Peterborough County with a permanent population of 5,083 residents plus a seasonal population of 6,200 residents. The Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen is seeking proposals for the following studies: The studies are required for the development of an outdoor sports complex. The sports complex will consist of two (2) baseball diamonds, two (2) washroom pavilions, two (2) tennis courts, four (4) pickleball courts, a dog park area, pedestrian walkways and 106 parking spaces. The site is currently vacant land and is located at 739 Old Norwood Road, Havelock Ontario. The proposed recreation park is to be accessed from Bel Twp Con 8 frontage. This location is outside of hamlet settlement boundary and serviced area. A well and sceptic system will be required. The requirements of the submission are outlined in the RFP, and the requirements and objectives of the project are outlined in the Project Scope and Deliverables.
